Albena Atanassova, project director at Scott Brownrigg, advocates for positive change within architectural education and across the wider industry, and has been closely involved in the establishment of architectural apprenticeships. She is a member of the RIBA Education Development group, sits on London South Bank University’s Architecture Advisory Board and is one of the founding board members of the Young Architects and Developers Alliance (YADA).
Stephanie Kyle, architect and inclusive design consultant at Maber Architects, has been working to educate and guide designers and clients to deliver and sustain more inclusive environments. Her expertise includes considerations for religion, gender-neutral facilities, safe spaces, hearing and vision impairment, age, language, religion, class and a specialist focus on neurodiverse inclusive design and hidden disabilities. She is currently writing a neurodiversity design guide for AUDE (Association of Universities Directors of Estates).
Karen Mosley rose from apprentice to managing director at HLM Architects, where she is now director and diversity, inclusion and belonging sponsor.
Nationally, she is part of the Architectural Apprenticeship Trailblazer Group, RIBA Future Leaders Steering Group and RIBA EDI Outreach Group. In South Yorkshire, she focused on skills and unlocking untapped potential as President (2021-2023) of the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce. She is chair of the new South Yorkshire Institute of Technology and co-chairs the South Yorkshire Skills Advisory Board.
